We both competed in the Taupo Half Marathon Sunday 5th August. 
This is our third time down here for the Taupo half marathon run/walk - and as the title above indicates we keep coming back for the scenic Lake Taupo event and do what is a really interesting course - around the park, on the state highway, across the farmlands and along the lakefront walkway. But, as locals will tell you, and as we always experience, the lakefront walkway with the scenic view comes with a hefty price.....a really really tough headwind in the last 5-6kms. Ah it's worth it though!!
In the end Rich finished the half marathon run in 1 hours 41 mins, while Mel completed the half marathon walk in 3 hours and 05 mins.

I suspect Mel added the bit about the chocolate! no mention of whether it was Nestle or not though
