Wow, how quickly the year's gone! Must say, it's been quite a year too - Mel changing jobs early in the year, moving into our current home, travelling to Malaysia + Korea, a new neice, a few half marathons... it almost seems like a relief that the year's over!
Anyway, we had a fantastic Christmas. Christmas Eve was the Community Dinner at our church (55 people, including Womens refuge). We helped with the set up and decorations, cooked chicken pieces and Mel played the keyboard for Don - who sang "If I Were A Rich Man" from Fiddler On The Roof.
Christmas Day was much more relaxing! This year it was held at Mum and Dad's new house in Kohimarama with Ant, Andrea, Margaret, Terry, Mum, Dad, Shannon and ourselves. As is tradition, we tended to over indulge with Ham off the Bone, Turkey, Roast Potatoes, Sweetcorn on the Cob, etc. All in all, a wonderful feast complemented by a few bottles Moet Bubbly - thanks Ant!

Dessert was strawberries and cream, chocolate cake, Ice cream profiteroles with Chocolate Sauce (thanks Rich for developing those.....yum!), even more chocolate, and just in case there wasn't enough dessert(!), also a fruit salad and a Christmas pudding soaked in brandy. Time to loosen the belt me thinks :)
