While there was fantastic weather on Saturday, the rain appeared one day ahead of schedule, and low and behold it was a wet Taupo Half Marathon on Sunday.
Very very scenic, but rained the whole day, and there was a head wind along the lakefront and a really muddy track.
Despite this, Mel achieved her best time for a half marathon walk of 3:00:51. Now 4 X half marathons under her belt - Taupo X 2, Keri Keri and Queenstown.
Richard stopped the clock at 1:39:45 which was 3 minutes faster than last year's attempt. This is Richard's ninth half marathon - the tenth hopefully being Auckland Half this October.
